How it works

The Hausklin method, from first enquiry to the hundredth visit

Consistency is not a personality trait, it is a system. Here is exactly how we quote, staff, clean and check — so you know what you are buying before you buy it.

How it works

Three steps, then it simply runs

Most of our customers speak to us once at the start and then barely need to think about cleaning again. That is the point.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the property

Fill in the quote form or send us an email. We ask about rooms, floors, pets, parking and how often you want us — enough to price the job properly rather than guess.

    • Two minutes online, and a reply within one working day
    • No call-out fee and no sales visit unless you want one
    • Larger homes and offices get a free walk-through
  2. 02

We agree a checklist and a fixed price

You get a written room-by-room checklist and an hourly or per-visit price before anything is booked. Change the checklist any time — the price moves with it, openly.

    • Room-by-room task list you approve in writing
    • Fixed price with no weekend or holiday surcharges
    • Cancel or pause with 48 hours’ notice
  3. 03

The same cleaner arrives, every visit

You are matched with a police-checked cleaner who keeps your slot. They log the checklist at the end of each visit, and a supervisor spot-checks the work each month.

    • One named cleaner, with a briefed cover for holidays
    • Checklist logged and visible to you after every visit
    • Monthly supervisor quality check on every contract

The method

Four working rules that make every visit look the same

These rules are taught in week one and audited every month. They are the difference between a cleaner who is good and a service that is reliable.

  1. 1

Top to bottom, dry to wet

Dust and debris fall. We work from high surfaces down and finish with floors, so nothing settles on work we have already done. Wet work follows dry work in each room rather than criss-crossing the flat.

  2. 2

    Colour-coded microfibre

Red cloths for WCs, blue for bathroom surfaces, green for kitchens, yellow for general rooms. Cloths go back to the depot for a 60°C wash after every property — never rinsed and reused in the next home.

  3. 3

    Dwell time, not elbow grease

Limescale and grease need chemistry and time. Products go on first, do their work while another task runs, and get removed properly. It is faster and it is kinder to your surfaces than scrubbing.

  4. 4

    Logged before we leave

The cleaner ticks the room-by-room checklist in the app at the end of the visit. If something could not be done — a room in use, a blocked balcony door — it is noted with a reason, not silently skipped.

Vetting and training

Six checks before anyone holds your key

Every Hausklin cleaner is directly employed by us. Nothing is subcontracted, which is what makes this list enforceable rather than aspirational.

  • Identity and right to work

Passport or ID card, residence and work permission checked in person at our office before an offer is made.

  • Police certificate

An erweitertes Führungszeugnis, no more than three months old, is required before anyone is issued a customer key.

  • Two weeks shadowing

New cleaners work alongside an experienced colleague on real rounds before they take a property alone.

  • Products and safety training

Dilution, dwell times, surface compatibility and the German safety data sheets for everything on the trolley.

  • Key discipline

Keys live in a numbered safe with no address attached. Signed in and out per shift, never taken home.

  • Monthly quality audit

A supervisor scores a live visit against your checklist every month, and the score goes to you.

If it goes wrong

Our 24-hour put-it-right promise

Cleaning is done by people, and people have off days. What matters is what happens next.

  1. Tell us within 24 hours of the visit — an email or a reply to the visit log both count.
  2. We re-clean whatever fell short, at no charge, usually within two working days.
  3. Your supervisor reviews the checklist with the cleaner so the same gap does not repeat.
  4. If something was damaged, we report it to our insurer the same day and arrange replacement.
  5. Three unresolved issues in a quarter and you may leave the contract immediately, no notice period.

Talk to a real coordinator, not a chatbot.

Our office team reads every message during working hours and knows every round we run. Ask about pricing, key handover, insurance or a specific stain — you will get a straight answer, from a person.
